The public health team works on a wide range of health issues including mother, child, reproductive, neonatal, adolescent healthcare, communicable diseases, non-communicable diseases, immunization, mental health programs, universal health insurance and care for elderly. The team follows the discourse ongoing on SDG 3 nationally and globally. It is dedicated to the cause of developmental goals.
Global Village Foundation is advising the Central Government on public health. GVF is advising the Honourable Health Minister Shri J P Naddha on budgetary provisions and management.

Global Village Foundation || Public finance Management

Public finance Management group of the Global Village Foundation is engaged in the study of role of the government in the economy. The team assesses the government revenue and government expenditure of the state and present desirable effects and avoid undesirable outcomes.

GVF Team engages in advising and researching in the subject matter of public finance for following:

• Public revenue
• Public debt
• Financial administration
• Federal finance

The Public Finance team of GVF comprises of tax experts, Chartered Accountants, Cost Accountants, lawyers and economists of high standing. GVF conducted a one day interactive session with the concerned officers of Excise, Taxation, Revenue and Planning Department of Government of Haryana. Honourable Finance Minister Captain Abhimanyu was present at this interaction. The workshop took place on 7 January 2015. Some of the recommendations such as Amnesty Scheme for VAT has been already implemented by the State Government.

Global Village Foundation || Industry

The Industry Reforms team of Global Village Foundation is comprehensive. It has experts with experience in large companies, MSMS, innovation and start-ups. The team involves academics, economists and industrialists. GVF did a two day workshop on 17 and 18 December 2015 on Industry Reforms in Haryana. Honourable Industry Minister Captain Abhimanyu was present in the workshop and all concerned government officers also actively participated. The outcome of the meeting was meant to be presented to the Honourable Chief Minister.

GVF is doing the project of conducting District wise profiling for the State of Haryana. This will held in understanding the strengths of regions of Haryana where industry has not yet grown. Resources could be allocated better and balanced regional growth would be achieved. There is a need to hire 10 researches to conduct this research. The grant would include their salaries, ta/da and other expenses. Detailed primary date will be collected from all the districts. Secondary data will be analyzed. A report will be prepared and submitted. This report will help in understand the situation of industry better in Haryana and making necessary changes in policies.

GVF is working to develop cooperative culture in Haryana. A team is constituted, which is working on ways in which difficulties in registration and operation for cooperatives can be taken care of.

Environment team of Global Village Foundation is engaged in Advising the Government of Haryana on pressing environment issues in the state. Environment degradation is the major issue in Haryana and we endeavour to advice and research on how to restore the environment to its pristine glory GVF will be making a comprehensive action plan and will be meeting govt officials for the same We will be working with Govt of Haryana on following topics .

• Review the work relating to Environment undertaken in the State by Government and non-Government Organisations.
• Advice the State Government of Environment issues of the State.
• Identify areas requiring investigation, research and restoration in the field of environment.

Global Village Foundation || Energy

Global Village Foundation has done a comprehensive study of losses suffered in generation, transmission and distribution of power and on renewable sources. GVF is currently preparing a comprehensive study with reforms to be suggested in all the related aspects of energy. The comprehensive study is important. The Aggregate Technical and Commercial Losses are more than 40%. This is a sign of concern since it is affecting the fiscal health of the state and public interest. Due to this fiscal drain the State is unable to use the resources for social and other economical development activities. Immediate steps need to be taken to address these problems. GVF has a dedicated team of experts with detailed knowledge of the problems in the power sector companies. The study will be watershed in the field. It will have a strong impact and needs to be urgently addressed. A comprehensive study on the power sector will be opportune.

The Women Empowerment and Beti Bachao Beti Padhao team has evolved as a prominent advocate of women rights in the country. The team has initiated several pro-women programs under skill development initiatives in Haryana
Global Village Foundation works in close coordination with the Adviser to Chief Minister Shri Yogendra Malik and has assisted in organizing groups of workers in different regions of Haryana with low sex ratio. GVF has made many suggestions in this direction which are showing impressive results.

Global Village Foundation || Agriculture

Global Village Foundation agriculture Team is engaged in holistic development of agriculture for the state of Haryana.

Haryana is synonymous with agriculture; it is a rice bowl of India. Though Haryana have progressed steadily in farm production but allied sectors like fisheries and forestry which would have grown as well had fallen back in the growth trajectory. GVF is committed to reverse this negative trend by focusing on Forestry and horticulture in the state. It is our endeavour to introduce traditional Indian crops like millets and other water arid crops which will have significant effect on the topography of the region.

Skill Development Team in Global Village Foundation is functioning under the able leadership of Mr Raj Nehru. The team comprises people with varied backgrounds working together for common goal of skilling unemployed youth of state of Haryana and make them employable in leading job ready sectors of Haryana.

The first major step in this direction is the initiative called CSR ITES Summit 2016 wherein Top ITES companies and leading Technical institutes are coming together and will sign MOU for skilling and employing Unemployed youth of Haryana. The programme is organized in association with NASSCOM Foundation and involves skilling youth at under graduate level and make them employed by top IT companies .
